We’re living in a time that’s blasting our nervous systems. The constant noise, pressure, and speed - it’s pushing people to the edge. Most of us are carrying more than we let on. And there’s no sign of things slowing down. Change keeps coming.
We push through though, don’t we? Smiling on the outside while tackling a lot on the inside. I know this experience very well. I used to scroll, drink, binge, overwork, numb -anything to avoid feeling what was under the surface. For years, I chased a version of success that was unsustainable.
What I’ve learned is this: When you put your well-being first, everything follows. Much of what we’re experiencing feeds a state of overwhelm. But learning the skills to calm the nervous system and build new habits can create peace and happiness -not just for you, but for the people you care for and work with.
That’s why a group of us created Lumenara -to share the latest tips, strategies, and techniques that help you grow the skills to navigate modern life with calm, resilience, and joy.
When that happens, everything changes. We start showing up more honestly - for our families, our work, and the people we love. Not by trying harder, but by learning how to break free from unhelpful patterns.

The Unstuck series kicks off Wednesday 28th August and runs for eight weeks - it's built for busy schedules.
- SPARK Assessment & 1:1 Debrief: You’ll start with our wellbeing assessment and a 90-minute personal debrief with Dan — available in South Yarra, Echuca, or online.
- Live Weekly Sessions: Delivered in real time (AEST + PSTD), with recordings available if you need to catch up.
- Ongoing Access: You’ll have full access to all tools and materials for 12 months.

Dr Dan Harrison — Psychologist, Coach, and Co Founder of Lumenara
This toolkit started as something I built for myself. After burning out, I found myself stuck in a cycle of pressure, disconnection, and performance—while pretending everything was fine.
What changed? I stopped trying to fix myself and started learning how to work with myself. Through neuroscience, mindfulness, and simple, somatic tools, I rebuilt from the inside out. Slowly. Practically. Honestly.
Now I guide others through that same kind of shift. I bring the science (PhD in Psychology, Harvard Medical School training), the leadership experience, and the lived reality of big transitions. I'm also deepening my practice through current mentorship in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach—an experience that continues to enrich how I support others. What matters to me most? Giving people tools that actually work—especially when life feels messy.
